Dear Colleagues,
The tenth anniversary of Kargil victory was observed today, July 26th. In the NCR the function was held at the NOIDA war memorial. There was encouraging participation from the civilian colleagues, including staff and students of Nehru International Public School. In addition to the customary homage by way of paying floral tributes, blood was donated and pledges were signed for organ donation. The entire proceedings were dignified with befitting decor. Many Steering Committee members were closely involved in organising and orchestrating the event. Thanks in particular go the Rakesh Chaturvedi, Vinod Gandhi, CK Sharma, Sharan Ahuja, Chander Kamboj and Satbir. In NOIDA, as always, Vijay Sekhri, Kewal Malhotra, RC Sharma played a pivotal role in buttoning up logistics.
It has been heartening to see the many Kargil related events being organised across the country. Our gratitude to the media for actively highlighting the sacrifices the soldiers have been making to ensure security and safety of the country.
