Dear Colleagues,
Bala, Satbir, Aditya Jaini, Kameshwar Pandey, Krit Joshipura and self attended an ESM rally in village Silani, Jhajjar District of Haryana Aug 14. It was basically a ‘thanks giving’ rally as termed by the organizers CPO Dharam Pal and Capt JS Rathi. Attendance was over 500 with some 75 Service families. In their brief speeches the hosts thanked the IESM for their continued efforts in seeking amelioration of various ESM problems.
There were demands for opening more ECHS policlinics in different towns. The ESM also want a greater spread of CSD outlets so that they do not have to travel far to purchase stores. The gathering was apprised of the govt negative response on extending the recent pension enhancement benefits to Service widows. There was unanimous lament and condemnation of the govt apathy. They were assured that the IESM will keep pursuing this point.
