Dear Colleagues,
Calls continue to be received from ESM from across the country with anxious queries. A Havildar calls, “sir I retired in 1993 after …years of service. Can you please tell me how much pension will I get now?” Another ESM in early Eighties speaks feebly and wants to know when we would get the balance of arrears. One can almost feel his thoughts, ‘Will I live to get it?’ And the government – the government of the people and for the people, continues to remain tight-lipped.
